Tender description
The procurement is for the provision of the management of the Council's fleet tyres including the supply and fitment of vehicle tyres and related, ancillary products and services for a wide variety of local-authority vehicles. For East Lindsey District Council: The procurement is for the provision of the management of the Council's fleet tyres including the supply and fitment of vehicle tyres and related, ancillary products and services for a wide variety of local-authority vehicles. Services to consist of but not limited to: a) ensuring that vehicles are in a safe and legally compliant condition at all times (in respect of tyres and ancillary components); b) attending to vehicle breakdowns resulting from tyre faults and rectifying these faults; and c) rectifying any damage consequent to tyre faults such as punctures; and d) monitoring tyre condition for wear and damage on a routine basis; and e) supplying and replacing tyres which had reached or are nearing the end of their usable life; and f) carrying out any ancillary (to tyres) services required, such as: — tyre disposal, — tyre valve and valve extension replacement, — wheel balance, — calibration and adjustment of vehicle tracking, — turn on the rim and twinning, — tyre re-treading and grooving, — fitting wheel nut indicators or ring clips as required by the Councils. For West Lindsey District Council: The procurement is for the provision of the management of the Council's fleet tyres including the supply and fitment of vehicle tyres and related, ancillary products and services for a wide variety of local-authority vehicles.
