The Thames Basin Heaths Strategic Access Management and Monitoring (SAMM) project is responsible for delivering mitigation and monitoring in the form of access management wardening strategically across the Thames Basin Heaths SPA, along with monitoring of SPA bird numbers and visitors. This project is to undertake a full SPA wide survey of visitors to the Thames Basin Heaths SPA. The work will replicate that of previous years, allowing direct comparison with surveys undertaken in 2005 and 2012.
