Technical Project Team for Integrated Care Organisation (ICO)

Summary of the work Two people are required to support the Integrated Care Project by leading the deployment of hardware to clinical staff. This service also supports development of technical solutions working with Technical Support (Service Desk/1st Line/Desktop Services/Server&Network Teams) to fix/escalate issues, attend project meetings, 3rd Party IT liaison and update Project Manager. Expected Contract Length 6 Months Latest start date Monday 18 June 2018 Budget Range Not to exceed £200 per person per day (7.5 hour day) excluding VAT Why the Work is Being Done To technically enable the workforce within the Integrated Care Organisation (450 Adults’ Social Workers organisation from Salford City Council (SCC) to Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust (SRFT). Problem to Be Solved The staff are currently using SCC hardware and will need to migrate to SRFT hardware. There is a need to work with SCC IT teams to enable this work and also introduce new technologies (Skype, SSO). Who Are the Users Multi-disciplinary clinical staff based around the Salford Community setting who are often not familiar with the technology being provided and will require support and guidance when issued. Existing Team None Current Phase Beta Skills & Experience • Must have previously worked for a Salford based NHS organisation • Excellent customer service skills / professional manner • Previous deployment experience including device imaging and implementation • Knowledge/experience of latest IT technologies • Frequently required to handle heavy objects on a daily basis (eg monitors, network equipment approx 5-10kg • Required to use VDU every day and for prolonged periods • There is a frequent requirement to concentrate for prolonged periods of time, this is usually predictable. • Occasional to exposure to unpleasant (dirt and dust) conditions.
