Tender description

Service under social and specific services in accordance with Directive 2014/24/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council Article 74 under Schedule 3 — Social and other specific services (Health, social and related services), and is subsequently exempt from the rules on the procedures for procurement by contracting authorities with respect to public contracts and design contests. Sunderland City Council is establishing a Flexible procurement agreement (the Contract) for care and support services that will include the provision of personal care and support at home and auxiliary care and support services. Bidders can submit a tender in response to the ITT for validation and will be eligible to receive call off contracts as permitted in the ITT. The validation requirements must be maintained during the period of the contract Failure to maintain these requirements could result in conditions being placed on the bidder as set out in the ITT. Sunderland City Council is establishing a Flexible procurement agreement (the Contract) for care and support services that will include the provision of personal care and support at home and auxiliary care and support services. The Flexible procurement agreement will cover personal care and support at home and auxiliary care and support service provision for individuals who: — Are aged 18 years and over, and. — are living within their own homes, and — who have care and support needs arising as a result of frailty; a physical disability; a sensory impairment; a mental health need, including dementia/cognitive impairment and a learning disability including autism and challenging behaviour. — have been assessed by the Council as being eligible under the Care Act 2014 for care and support and whose care is funded full or in part by the Local Authority. An individual’s own home may be a personal residence or may be within a housing scheme and services can be personal care and/or support or may be other auxiliary services to support an individual’s needs. Contracts will be awarded against the Flexible procurement agreements by mini competitions that will be issued from time to time or by direct award where permitted in the ITT.
