Tender description

Driver Education courses to educate drivers who have committed a road offence. The National Driver Offender Rehabilitaion Scheme (NDORS) work with various agencies to develop a national model in the interest of road safety, a model is developed for each course which is used by the service providers to deliver to drivers. In April 2014, the Police and Crime Commissioner for Gwent awarded an All Wales Contract for the Provision of National Driver Offender Rehabilitation Courses to TTC Group following a restricted OJEU procurement process. The courses covered in the contract include primarily; Speed Awareness. The courses are provided by a Service Provider to members of the public who have been caught speeding and meet the eligibility criteria. Other Driver Education courses available under the contract are; Driver Alertness, RIDE, What’s Driving Us? and Driving 4 Change. The contract was awarded for a three (3) period with an option to extend for an additional one (1) year period, and commenced on 1.7.2014. A new tender process has commenced; a six (6) month extension is required to allow the new process to be evaluated, awarded and implemented.
