Provision of the Gig Buddies Services

Tender description

The City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council (‘The Council’) is seeking providers to deliver a Gig Buddies project matching people with learning disabilities and autism with a volunteer who loves the same kind of activity so they can go together. This is a different kind of project. • It isn’t about running events for people with a learning disability or autism. It is about supporting people to attend events that are already running in the district • It isn’t about paid staff supporting people to go to events It is about people volunteering and becoming friends and sharing common interests • It isn’t about saying people can only do certain things or go to certain places because they have a learning disability It is about finding ways to support people to go where they want and working with partners to make places accessible for all We are looking for Providers who have experience of working with people with a learning disability, volunteering and the arts and culture sector.
