Tender description

The University is seeking to enter into a Multi-Consultant Framework Agreement (Agreement) for Clerk of Works Services. The University of Leicester is seeking proposals from suitably qualified and experienced Clerk of Works consultancy practices (mechanical and electrical, or building, civil & structural) to help ensure quality is maintained when developing the University’s built assets. The University requires all tendering consultants to be capable of delivering Traditional or Design and Build, New Build or Refurbishment projects under Joint Contracts Tribunal (JCT) contracts. Additionally the consultants must be capable of delivering projects of different complexities, for example work on science laboratories, residential buildings and teaching spaces. The framework agreement will be for an initial 3 year period after which there will be an optional extension of 12 months. The University estimates a total spend of 820 000 GBP The Agreement is split into six agreements (Lots). Lot 1 is for Building, Civil and Structural Clerks of Works services for works that have a net construction value below 500 000 GBP. It is anticipated that each year the University will spend 70 000 GBP on Clerks of Works Service within this lot. The University anticipates awarding to 3 Consultants as a result of this procurement exercise. For information, some projects procured via this procurement might be fully, or patially funded by European Regional Development Fund. The Agreement is split into six agreements (Lots). Lot 2 is for Building, Civil and Structural Clerks of Works services for works that have a net construction value between 500 000 and 4 000 000 GBP. It is anticipated that each year the University will spend 140 000 GBP on Clerks of Works Service within this lot. The University anticipates awarding to 3 Consultants as a result of this procurement exercise. For information, some projects procured via this procurement might be fully, or partially funded by European Regional Development Fund The Agreement is split into 6 agreements (Lots).
