Who Speclialist Work With The Race Disparity Unit is a multi-disciplinary team covering policy, data and digital work streams. As well as policy officials, statisticians, analysts, and social researchers, the digital team includes developers, user researcher, delivery manager, content designers, product manager and service manager - this will change to reflect priorities and needs over time. We all work together using the One Team Government principles and the government design principles. What Specialists Work On Lead the evolution of the Ethnicity facts and figures website - improve both the publishing tool and the website so that we continue to meet the needs of our users. Work in an agile, multi-disciplinary team, primarily with front-end designer, developers, content designers and a user researcher. Overall responsibility for the product roadmap and the digital team. Where the Work Takes Place 1 Horseguards Road, London SW1A 2HQ Early Market Engagement Working Arrangements Our team is based in Horse Guards. Occasional remote working is accepted, but will primarily be co-located onsite with the existing team. We work Mon-Fri with usual office hours. Travel to user research sessions at various London locations is expected. We will cover standard Cabinet Office travel expenses for any user research sessions held outside London. Work Location 1 Horseguards Road, London SW1A 2HQ Security Clearance CTC is required to work at 1 Horse Guards. Minimum of baseline clearance (BPSS) is required for the work itself. If the successful specialist needs to be put through CTC clearance, we will do this. Additional T&Cs Skills & Experience Proven skills providing leadership and direction for your products Proven skills creating, maintaining, prioritising and delivering a product backlog and roadmap to direct the work of team Proven experience managing stakeholders across government and adapting to changing needs and evolving government landscape Proven experience representing the work of the digital team and demonstrating its contribution to overall organisation goals Experienced in meeting the Government’s Digital Service Standards, designing a service that meets government accessibility requirements Experienced advocating for the importance of agile, iterative and user-centred methods as set out in the Government Service Manual Proven skills writing user stories and acceptance criteria Proven experience working closely with the developers to understand technical constraints and opportunities Proven experience of working closely with other team members on rapid prototyping and delivering at pace Proven experience planning user research priorities and sessions with user researcher Proven experience prioritising user needs (using qualitative and quantitative data) with the team and incorporating user research findings into product backlog Nice to Haves Experience working on a high profile digital service with significant ministerial interest Experience managing digital specialist contractors Experience of working with policy teams Experience of working to the One Team Government principles No. of Specialists to Evaluate 3 Cultural Fit Criteria Experience of successful collaborative working as part of a multi-disciplinary delivery team, sharing knowledge within the team Experience delivering in an open, collaborate, agile way according to the principles outlined in the Government Service Manual Experience of working with stakeholders and team members with low technical expertise Experience of successful agile delivery in non-agile environments and bridging the two worlds Displays cultural sensitivity and awareness Assessment Method Evaluation Weighting Technical competence 60% Cultural fit 20% Price 20% Questions from Suppliers Budget range £800 including travel and expenses (excluding vat)
