JLL Hotels and Hospitality are currently advising Swansea Council and Rivington Land (Development Manager) in relation to the development of a new upper midmarket / full service hotel as part of the Swansea Central (Phase 1) Development and is pleased to offer the opportunity to purchase the development site, construct, brand and operate a hotel of up to 150 – 200 bedrooms within the Development. This represents a unique opportunity for a hotel group to own a new asset in a strategic location, capable of capitalising on new corporate demand, as well as growing leisure demand in the wider region and in particular the new multi-function digital arena being developed adjacent. The attached ‘brochure’ indicates the expectations in greater detail. It is also understood that ‘gap funding’ (should it be required) could be made available by Visit Wales (subject to the successful bidder making the requisite, direct approach — which is supported by the council). Swansea Council is seeking expressions of interest from suitably experienced parties who develop and invest in branded hotels in the UK, in order to construct and develop out the hotel site identified in Swansea Central Phase 1 as outlined above. Applications are invited from experienced hotel developers, operators or investors who can demonstrate a proven track record. Any bidders wishing to consider submitting a bid on the hotel site based on the attached brochure will need to express an interest by emailing mark.paynter@rivingtonland.com, no later than 5:00 pm on Friday 6.7.2018.
