Belmayne Main Street & Belmayne Avenue Site Investigation

Tender description

This contract has been awarded to Ground Investigations Ireland Ltd on the 12/06/2018.The purpose of the site investigation is to inform the preliminary and detailed design of Belmayne Main Street and Belmayne Avenue road scheme. For further information see specification document attached. The Investigation includes 7no. Trial Pits, 10 no. pavement cores, 1 no. footway cores, 2 No. Infiltration Tests and 8 No. Slit Trenches to determine ground conditions, pavement thickness, condition of existing granular material and the extent of services along the scheme as indicated on drawings 170241-9020 to 9022. The works outlined in SI.5 are the main geotechnical and geoevironmental investigations for the proposed development. The majority of the site is currently existing road construction made up of approximately 300mm asphalt over 150mm granular sub-base over 600mm stone capping. Contractor to agree programme, method statement, risk assessment and security/traffic management proposals with DCC/DBFL and relevant landowners before works takes place on site. DCC/DBFL will assist the contractor to make access arrangements where possible.
