Supply, delivery and maintenance of wheeled refuse containers and ancillary equipment for Dublin City Council

Tender description

The framework agreement will be established on foot of a competition for an initial contract for the supply and delivery of • 40 green plastic bins – 1100ltr capacity; • 90 galvanised steel wheeled containers - capacity 1100ltr (standard ‘grey’ steel bins to be painted green) • the replacement of 374 lids on existing galvanised steel wheeled containers – capacity 1100ltr; and • the replacement of 360 lids on existing galvanised steel wheeled containers – capacity 960ltr. The detailed specification for the wheeled containers are contained in Appendix 11. The initial contract will also include the provision of repair and maintenance services and the supply of parts for wheeled containers to the Contracting Authority for a period of two years. The initial contract will be awarded to the successful tenderer shortly after the formal establishment of the framework agreement. Where reference is made in the technical specification to any particular make, source, origin, patent, process, trademark, brand name or standard, such reference shall on every occasion be understood as being accompanied by the words “or equivalent”. These references are provided only where it is not otherwise possible for a sufficiently precise description to be defined.
