Road Sweepings and Gully Waste Haulage and Treatment

Tender description

We are tendering for a provider to Haul and Treat the Road Sweepings and Gully Waste collected by Wigan Council. The provider will be expected to collected the material on a frequent (sometimes daily) basis where there is sufficient material. On average there is approximately 250 tonnes to be collected per month, however, this fluctuates due to seasonality and ad-hoc cleansing or gully emptying operations so this figure is indicative only. Importantly, the arising will peak during the autumn season due to leaf fall. The contractors facility must be able to accept and treat road sweeping and gully waste. The provider will be expected to deliver the most economically advantageous and sustainable environmental treatment solution. To that end we are seeking a solution that will deliver high recycling rates meeting national (wastedataflow) reporting requirements.
