Tender description
Rail for London Infrastructure (RfLI) require the Services of a Supplier to undertake the Overhead line equipment monitoring on the Central section of Crossrail Line — Elizabeth Line. Overhead line equipment (OLE) systems require regular monitoring, providing the maintenance organisation with the status of the Contact system geometry (vertical and lateral alignment), as well as contact wire wear. Rail for London Infrastructure (RfLI) require the Services of a Supplier to undertake the Overhead line equipment monitoring on the Central section of Crossrail Line — Elizabeth Line. Overhead line equipment (OLE) systems require regular monitoring, providing the maintenance organisation with the status of the contact system geometry (vertical and lateral alignment), as well as contact wire wear. This level of detailed information reduces the risk of de-wirement or contact system failure, and supports proactive and predictive maintenance and renewal. The Inspection, maintenance and thermal imaging shall be undertaken by RfLI as part of the routine maintenance schedule. The procurement for this opportunity was undertaken in 3 Stages as follows: 1) Expression of Interest (EOI) — Issued via Rail industry supplier qualification scheme (RISQS) 2) Standard selection questionnaire (SSQ) — Issued via RISQS to those interested parties and scored before suppliers were selected to progress to the Tender stage and invited to submit tenders. 3) Invitation to tender (ITT) — Issued via the TfL e-Tendering portal — ProContract. The Award was based on the Most economically advantageous tender (MEAT) Tender received.
