Tender description

The current service is one part of the contract held by Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust covering the provision of NHS111 across the Yorkshire and Humber area including Bassetlaw. The contract provides for the sub-contracted provision of Out of Hours primary medical services on behalf of the CCGs across West Yorkshire currently provided by Local Care Direct. This contract runs until 31.3.2019. This notice is to advise of the Commissioners’ intention to seek agreement through dialogue with Local Care Direct CIC to continue the provision of service by way of a contract of 12 months duration from the end of the current contract. The extension of service period is to allow the Commissioners’ to develop a comprehensive model that will complement the 24/7 Integrated Urgent Care (IUC) service currently being commissioned by CCGs. The contract provides for the provision of Out of Hours primary medical services on behalf of the 7 CCGs across West Yorkshire (currently provided by Local Care Direct). The annual value of this contract for 2018/19 is approximately 18 700 000 GBP. The development and procurement of this model will be aligned to allow the new arrangements to be in place for 1.4.2020. This opportunity will be advertised later this year. NHS Greater Huddersfield Clinical Commissioning Group is acting in its capacity as Lead Commissioner for the Yorkshire and Humber. The list of CCGs participating in this collaborative contract is as follows: Greater Huddersfield; Wakefield; North Kirklees; Calderdale; Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven; Bradford City; Bradford Districts; Leeds; East Riding of Yorkshire; Hull; Vale of York; Hambleton, Richmond and Whitby; Harrogate; Scarborough and Ryedale; Barnsley; Rotherham; Doncaster; Sheffield; Bassetlaw; North East Lincolnshire; and North Lincolnshire.
