Tender description
Tresillian is a 0-5 childcare nursery that is operated by Devon Count Council (DCC) and based in a DCC building in Kingsbridge. Tresillian is currently the only all year round full daycare in the area, which means that there is real need for this provision to continue. There are currently 66 children on roll and there is a waiting list. DCC wish to disinvest in the service and procure an independent provider to deliver the service. Devon County Council are offering the opportunity to transfer Tresillian Early Years to Private Voluntary or Independent sector. Tresillian Early Years is being offered with a long lease. There is no contractual funding associated with the procurement. However government funding is pass ported through the Local Authority to all Ofsted registered childcare providers for 2, 3 and 4 year old children and the new Provider will access funding through this route.
