Tender description

The 0.6 hectare site is located within the Galliagh Estate, Derry. The site is currently maintained grass which forms part of a communal area of open amenity space in the form of Linear Park and informal areas of open space around existing housing. The boundaries consist of the Fairview Road to the south, a public footpath to the north/west and a 1.5m timber fences to the rear of housing to the east. The access for the new housing would be accessed via Fairview Road. There is an existing water control panel kiosk in the south east of the site. The surrounding area is characterised by residential developments with associated amenities. To the east is the Housing Executives mainly two storey Knockalla Park while to the south beyond Fairview Road and open space is the Housing Executives mainly two storey Galliagh Park. To the west and north beyond green space is the mainly two storey private housing at Glendale Park as well as the two storey social housing houses owned by Radius Housing Association Clanmil expect to achieve approximately 20No 3 person 2 bed CAT 1 apartments The buildings will be constructed to Lifetime Homes and Secured by Design standards In the region of £1.9m.
