Tender description

National Grid plc wishes to engage with interested parties in relation to the provision of share registration services. With roughly 900 000 individual shareholders, National Grid plc seeks an experienced and highly capable supplier with the necessary resources and technological infrastructure and systems to provide a high quality service to the Company and its shareholders. Within the scope of works, the successful supplier will be required, amongst other matters, to act as registrar; update and manage share registers; provide a contact centre to deal with shareholder queries; support the corporate transactions as required; support and enable the execution of our shareholder strategy; and provide a service to our shareholders for share dealing. Interested parties should register such interest with the intention of undertaking a full tender exercise. Proposals are for a 3 year (plus 2 x 1 year extension options) agreement that will replace the existing contract for Share Administration and Management services which is up for renewal. Following this PIN, the initial stages of the tender process will be managed through the Achilles platform. In order to participate, interested parties will therefore be required to have obtained UVBD status and registered under the Achilles code 2.3.7 — Shareholder Services. After a phase of pre-qualification, those who pass this stage will be issued a full RFP via Ariba (Ariba is National Grid’s chosen online procurement management system). A selected number of suppliers will then be invited to meet National Grid representatives to discuss their submission in more detail.
