Derby Homes intends to hold a demonstration event to enable us to determine what lone worker products and services are currently on the market. Derby Homes is an Arm’s Length Management Organisation (ALMO) who manage the housing stock on behalf of various clients. All properties are within the city of Derby and Derby Homes’ portfolio is in total approximately 13 000 domestic housing units, 4 sheltered housing complex and 245 public buildings. Derby Homes are looking to re-procure its lone worker monitoring and protection service and expect the contract to last a minimum of 3 years. Derby Homes’ intends to hold a demonstration event to enable us to determine what lone worker products and services are currently on the market. Derby Homes are looking to re-procure its lone worker monitoring and protection service and expect the contract to last a minimum of 3 years. We currently have approximately 180 staff that have, and regularly or occasionally use a lone worker protection device. The existing lone worker device is of an ID badge style and while the majority of staff will continue to require this style of device, there may be an opportunity to expand other devices or solutions to employees who currently aren’t issued with any device at all. The devices and service provision should meet the appropriate requirements of BS 8591:2014 (Remote centres receiving signals from fire and security systems) and BS 8484:2016 (Provision of lone worker device (LWD) services).
