Tender description

As part of a wider programme of work to improve the energy performance of owner occupier properties, as set out in the Clean Growth Strategy, and the Call for Evidence on “Building a market for energy efficiency”, BEIS is seeking to launch pilots to test approaches in five different geographic regions for increasing the rates of energy efficiency improvements in non-fuel poor homes particularly alongside renovation work, by providing support for local supply chain integration and project coordination. The funding awarded by BEIS would be used over 3 years to develop a sustainable model for driving retrofit in a local area, in particular, addressing the non-financial barriers to retrofit such as trust, hassle factor and lack of awareness. BEIS held a supplier day for this project on 12.2.2018. Following feedback from suppliers and internal discussions, we would now like to discuss the next stage of the project with interested suppliers. This will include: — detailed project timelines, including for the Invitation to Tender, — likely criteria and expectations for the bidding process, — responses to questions raised by interested contractors at the previous supplier day. Successful organisations will be responsible for project coordination, trades matching and high skilled technical support, quality assurance, potentially using third-party retrofit coordinators or measurement of actual performance of improvements.
