Tender description

Translink wishes to establish a contract for the assessment, maintenance and repair of its Drainage infrastructure and the Provision of emergency spill response services. Translink maintains a region-wide portfolio of assets that includes car parks, bus and rail stations and workshops. Storm run-off and wash waters discharge from these sites under consent to either foul sewer or open waters, depending on the site activity. Translink wishes to maintain its drainage infrastructure to meet its statutory obligations and minimise the impact on the environment and maintenance costs. To do this, it requires drainage infrastructure assessment reports (utilising CCTV, dye tracing, visual inspections, etc), maintenance actions (jetting, wash facility cleans, interceptor emptying, etc), and 24/7/365 emergency spill response services. This notice is to initiate a pre-market engagement exercise. It supersedes the PIN notice, published for market engagement in respect of similar services, in November 2017. This notice does not indicate the start of any formal procurement exercise. This will be handled, via the OJEU, in due course. It is anticipated that meetings, with parties interested in participating in this market engagement, will take place during July/August 2018. Translink takes no responsibility for any actions or decisions taken, costs incurred or commitments made by parties in responding to this notice or through their involvement in any discussions with Translink. All parties agree that matters discussed between them during this course of this exercise will remain confidential.
