Tender description

Cambridgeshire County Council is seeking to appoint a single supplier or suppliers, or consortium of suppliers acting as a single legal entity, for the provision of Next generation broadband infrastructure across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough to enable sustainable access to 99 % of all premises by not later than the end of 2020. The Connecting Cambridgeshire project is aiming to extend the availability of Next generation access (NGA) broadband across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. Connecting Cambridgeshire has previously invested public funds through 1 Contract, to extend the availability of NGA infrastructure in areas where no commercial plans were in place as verified through State aid public consultations to 97 % of the county. Stage 4 is aiming to secure a telecom provider(s) to deploy NGA networks (supporting access line speeds of at least 30Mbps) to bring total coverage to over 99 % by the end of 2020 for the funding envelope that is available. Further information regarding the tender is available in Data Room 1. The procurement will follow an Open procedure and with the contract(s) expected to be awarded in November 2018.
