Provision to undertake Statutory Assessments in Children's Social Care

Swindon Borough Council (The Authority) is seeking to appoint a provider to temporarily increase capacity in our Assessment and Child Protection Team (ACP) by undertaking Statutory Assessments and related social work. It is anticipated that this capacity will be increased by providing social workers (min 2 years experience, including child protection) along with an experienced Manager, who would be able “hit the ground running” in a busy unit. The social workers would be expected to complete statutory assessments and then prepare the cases so they are ready for Initial Child Protection Case Conference, transfer to our community teams or refer to other services outside of social care. All cases should have evidence of Management oversight, which will also be provided by the successful tender. Keywords: child protection, children's social care, statutory assessment
