Tender description

The Programme has been running outreach for over 10 years. The rationale for this initially was to improve understanding of the conditions and screening offer, to reduce stigma and to improve accessibility of information to high prevalence communities. Outreach had some success in boosting awareness of the conditions and screening offer and subsequently it started to focus on achieving more specific Programme targets such as: improving timeliness of antenatal screening; improving access and timeliness of counselling and offer of PND access for women with an increased chance of having an affected baby; and improving performance in coverage, timeliness of transition into care, adherence to treatment and data collection in newborn screening. This is a tender for the provision of outreach services along with other closely related services.
