As a part of a planned sourcing activity for the External Quality Assurance (EQA) Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS), Public Health England (PHE) is organising a Supplier Day on the 9.7.2018 at the PHE site in Colindale, London, NW9 5EQ. As a part of a planned sourcing activity for the External Quality Assurance (EQA) Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS), Public Health England (PHE) is organising a Supplier Day on the 9.7.2018 at the PHE site in Colindale, London, NW9 5EQ. PHE is seeking to procure external quality assurance services (EQAs) for its microbiology laboratories, including, but not limited to, reference samples and materials and calibration testing. The aim of the EQAs is to determine the testing performance of the laboratories against pre-established criteria by means of inter-laboratory comparison (“the organisation, performance and evaluation of calibration/tests on the same or similar items by 2 or more laboratories or inspection bodies in accordance with predetermined conditions”). The Supplier Day is organised with a view to providing PHE with insights which will inform the specifications. The Supplier Day will also be used to alert the market to the upcoming opportunity, provide the project timescales and explain the planned tender process and desired outcomes, and explain the benefits of using the Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS). All suppliers will need to be present for the introduction session. Individual question and answer sessions for each supplier will follow the introduction.
