Somerset County Council, Adults and Health Commissioning and Public Health are holding a soft market testing event for providers. Following the market engagement event held in January 2018, SCC have drafted a specification for this service and now require market feedback. SCC will make available the draft specification prior to this event via this portal. Details of the event: Date: 20.6.2018. Venue: Taunton. Due to the venue size, SCC ask providers to limit attendees to 2 per provider. Please email PeopleProcurement@somerset.gov.uk to secure your place on this event. SCC — Adults and Health Commissioning and Public Health — Creative Solutions for Complex Individuals. Following valuable stakeholder input, SCC presents a draft specification for an ambitious framework of provision for individuals who have difficulty obtaining and sustaining a tenancy and have complex needs including mental health, drug and alcohol problems. It will deliver sustainable solutions and enable positive, healthy, independent lives. The Service will: — work with housing agencies and landlords to reduce concerns and sustain tenancies, — develop effective partnerships with LAs, NHS, VCS etc., — deliver / coordinate varied levels of support alongside ongoing specialist support e.g. from CMHTs, — include a “housing first” type element and flexible step-up / step-down, wrap-around support, — develop and participate in effective access and assessment processes, — coordinate and support the provision of cross-agency training and workforce development. In the first year it will, enable successful transition for clients in existing supported accommodation to a new model of service. We seek to communicate our intentions, to test whether skills and appetite exist to provide this service and to receive further feedback ahead of an imminent procurement exercise.
