Closed-circuit surveillance system

Tender description

Dyfed Powys Police are inviting tenders from suitably qualified and experienced organisations for the design, supply, installation, commissioning and maintenance for a new CCTV System covering Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion and Powys. This will be a new installation building on some existing Local Authority and County Council CCTV assets. The DPP force area consists of four Counties which all have mostly analogue CCTV systems. DPP wish to upgrade key cameras in the four Counties and link them into a single CCTV Control Room to be located in the FCC. The new CCTV system will: — maximise the DPP Wide Area Network (WAN) for connecting the local sites to the FCC, — deliver a target 0 GBP revenue financial model (negate the dependency on third party providers for connectivity from camera to local site, — deliver high quality HD images, — deliver a lower running cost for cameras and control room maintenance by way of new re-locatable equipment (using wireless) and manufacturer warranties, — migrate the transmission system from analogue to IP, — support multi-site systems within the FCC and workstations at local Police Stations, — interface with re-deployable CCTV cameras, — interface to a facial recognition systems and advancing technologies, — allow monitoring of 3rd party CCTV systems (both analogue and digital), — provide a CCTV system which is compliant with the requirements of the Surveillance Camera Commissioner’s Code of Practice and related legislation, — allow for the provision of analogue cameras.
