Tender description

Calibration services. Repair and maintenance services of measuring, testing and checking apparatus. Babcock DSG Limited acting as the UK Ministry of Defence’s agent seeks to place a Multiple Supplier Framework Agreement for the calibration and repair of test equipment used across the MoD Tri-Service community, for the duration of 2 years with the potential to extend for a further 2 years. Services involved include Calibration and Calibration and Repair services, calibration and repair on site as directed by the Authority, the collection, packaging and delivery to an Authority nominated consignee, to OEM Specification and Provision of ad-hoc calibration/repair. The services within the scope of this Framework Agreement have been divided into 28 lots, covering ‘Calibration’ and ‘Calibration and repair’, for both electrical and mechanical items in line with UKAS categorisation. Suppliers who progress to the invitation to tender stage can bid for one lot, several lots or combination of lots. A Framework Agreement covering all lots or Framework Agreements for individual or combination of lots will be awarded based upon the best price and technical capability for all lots over the 4 year contract period. QA Standards or equivalent: The service provider shall hold and maintain a certification to BS EN ISO 9001:2008, issued by an accredited certification body, and must stipulate that each calibration facility is a BS EN 17025 accredited Laboratory. Potential Providers will be required to provide evidence of UKAS Accreditation for Lots of potential interest. Any potential service providers wishing to undertake the work will be responsible for the provision of all associated parts (to OEM specifications) required to support any repair activity. Babcock DSG Limited advises potential service providers that drawings or associated specifications are not available to issue as part of any eventual Invitation to Tender. Following award of Contract, any additional requirements will be awarded to participating suppliers following a mini competition between all suppliers within the multi supplier Framework who meet the appropriate UKAS accreditation, and evaluated according to criteria set out within the tender documents. Any items awarded this way, once awarded, will remain with the winning supplier for the duration of the Contract.
