Appointment of a main / principal contractor for AUB's new Innovation Studio

Tender description

Arts University Bournemouth (AUB) has secured funding from Dorset Local Enterprise Partnership (DLEP) to build a new state-of-the art facility to support and develop digital and creative industries. Acting as a catalyst for growth, the Innovation Studio will provide a base for small business start-ups to develop their ideas, many of which will come from graduates of the University. These businesses will be supported by leading experts who work at the University and from contacts within the wider industry. This tender is for the appointment of a main/principal Contractor for the Construction of new Innovation Studio and will cover the principal contractor's direct work excluding the manufacturing of CLT and glazing but including cladding, services and lift supply and install. The works are to be carried out and completed between 24th September 2018 and the 31st July 2019 - Length of Contract 57 weeks. The Form of Contract will be based on the JCT 2016 Suite of Contracts. Tenders and supporting documents shall be in English and any contract subsequently entered in to shall be subject to English law. Please note that the Supplier is responsible for obtaining all information necessary for the preparation of the tender submission. All costs, expenses and liabilities incurred by the Supplier in connection with the preparation of their submission, the Form of Tender and Pricing Schedule shall be borne by the Supplier.
