Tender description
This is a market information exercise and may not necessarily lead to any future procurement process. In the event that it did proceed, it is not yet certain which procurement route would be followed. Suppliers will be neither advantaged nor disadvantaged by responding to this market engagement. Hampshire County Council is carrying out a Market Engagement exercise to benchmark the supply chain covering virtual real-time traffic incident alerts . Responses will not be used to evaluate your company, create a short-list or guarantee inclusion or exclusion in any resulting tender exercise. This exercise is to obtain feedback to inform any potential future tender process only, which will require further registration and appropriate assessment. Hampshire County Council requires virtual real-time traffic incident alerts which includes complete incident information for all types of road (Motorways, A-Roads, B-Roads and Local Roads). The information required also includes routes beyond the county boundary which may impact on the Hampshire network. Public transport, such as trains, light rail, ferries and flights may also have an impact on the highway network, therefore information will also be included and available. The information provided will require the location, the cause and effect of an incident the expected duration and any diversions in place. The Traffic Management team within Hampshire County Council will use the incident information as one of it's highway network management tools and will also use it to provide integrated Traffic & Travel Information, which it disseminates via a variety of methods (for example, website, Twitter, Facebook) from it's Hampshire ROMANSE Traffic & Travel Information Centre. Hampshire County Council is requesting responses from Suppliers who may be able to provide this service. Responses should include, but not be limited to 1) If all aspects of the requirements can be provided 2) How the service will be provided, for example, via a username and password, pay-for-access website Please send your response to procurement.partners@hants.gov.uk
