Tender description

The City of Edinburgh Council intends to put a contract in place an Owner Controlled Insurance Programme for the Edinburgh Trams York Place to Newhaven project, subject to final Council approvals. This will comprise Construction All Risks and Delay in Start-up and Third-Party Liability. This Prior Information Notice is being placed to inform the market of our intentions and to seek feedback and support on finalising our procurement strategy. Interested Insurance firms (not brokers) are invited to review and respond to the market consultation questionnaire no later than 12:00 noon 18.6.2018 by email to kelly.faulds@edinburgh.gov.uk The City of Edinburgh Council will shortly be inviting insurance firms (not brokers) to tender for an anticipated 2 lot tender for the provision of an Owner Controlled Insurance Policy for the extension to the existing Edinburgh Tram line. The design and build contract is expected to commence on site in mid-2019, subject to all necessary approvals. This market consultation exercise is an exciting opportunity for contractors to participate in finalising the Council’s procurement strategy and gain insight into the proposed contract strategy.
