Tender description

Westminster City Council are looking to appoint a single framework provider to cover the requirements for funerals and related services for the borough over a 4 year period. Westminster City Council will be the contracting authority under the framework, but the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea Councils will be able to call off services under this framework agreement. Any interested parties should consider this when considering whether to Bid. The contract will be include funeral services that are required under Section 46 of the Public Health (Control of Diseases) Act 1984 as well as Estate funded funerals. Westminster City Council are undertaking an open procurement procedure in order to establish a four year framework with a single provider who will be responsible for carrying out the funeral services required by the Borough as well as the requirements of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. The framework will cover statutory funerals under Section 46 Public Health Act 1984 along with Estate Funded Funerals. The appointed provider will also be expected to assist with the admin requirements of any DWP funerals that may arise during the course of the framework.
