Contract for the design of a replacement bridge at Meenamulligan, near illies, Co. Donegal.

Tender description

Meenamulligan bridge collapsed leaving a small community isolated following the severe storm event which caused extensive damage in the Inishowen region of County Donegal in August 2017. Temporary measures have been put in place to facilitate short term access, however Donegal County Council propose to construct an new bridge at this location to replace this structure and restore full access to this community at the earliest possible opportunity. This is a tender to procure a suitably qualified consultant engineer to design and obtain the necessary statutory and design approvals for the replacement structure and associated works. The consultant will also oversee the construction and handover of the bridge.
