Award of Contract for Highway Verge and Amenity grass cutting; Lot 1: Volume grass cutting on Highway Verges and Amenity Land. Lot 2: Cutting of the Boroughs numerous rural verges and hedges. Lot 4: Cutting of verges on the A6119 not central reservation. Lot 5: Cutting of verges at the following roundabouts and motorway junctions including necessary traffic management: Lot 6: Cutting of grass at thirteen of the Councils Leisure and Community Centre sites. Volume grass cutting on Highway Verges and Amenity Land at no more than monthly intervals between March and October – on average 42 000 m2 to be cut each working day to achieve cut ratio of a 4 week cycle. Cutting of the Boroughs numerous rural verges and hedges. 1st cut commence by 1st June and 2nd by 1.10.2016. Cutting of verges on the A6119 not central reservation – traffic management required is a tractor mow with an IPV protecting the staff. Each cut to be completed within two consecutive days. 1st cut in the last week in May 2nd cut in the last week in July and third in the first week in October. Cutting of verges at the following roundabouts and motorway junctions including necessary traffic management: Whitebirk Road A678 Roundabout. M65 Junction 5 and A6077 Guide Roundabout. M65 Junction 4 Roundabout. Cutting of grass at 13 of the Councils Leisure and Community Centre sites across the Borough at no more than 4 week intervals between March and October. Cutting of grass and maintenance of play areas at 8 Children’s Centres across the Borough at no more than 4 week intervals between March and October.
