This Contract is for Rod Amplifier Flashlamps and has a MAXIMUM contract value of £90,000.00 excluding VAT over a 3 year period. It is anticipated that an ESTIMATED £30,000.00 of this budget will be spent this financial year, ending 31st March 2019. The total number of Rod Amplifier Flashlamps ordered will be dependent on the outcome of the tender The final date and time for the submission of bids is Wednesday 13th June 2018 at 11.00 DO NOT apply directly to the buyer. Brief Description of Requirement This specification defines requirements for the design, fabrication and testing of Xenon flashlamps to be used in laser rod amplifiers by the STFC Rutherford Appleton Laboratory (RAL). To pump 16 mm diameter to 45 mm diameter liquid cooled Nd:phosphate glass laser amplifiers at energies in the range shown in the below.
