Tender description

The aim of the procurement process is to establish a Contract for a Mobile Enabled Student App. The aim of the procurement process is to establish a Contract for a Mobile Enabled Student App. The vision of the Student App Project is to deliver: — a central mobile application enabled platform that students access via their mobile devices, — an administrative interface through which the University can administer, develop, monitor and manage the app, — a personalised experience which leverages ad integrates with data feeds from various University systems to deliver personalised content to students e.g. views of their personal timetable, feeds or links to information and services based on their course of study, time during their student journey (e.g. Fresher vs final year student), location / campus, — a customisable experience both allowing the University to control aspects of what the student sees including delivery of important messages, promoting events etc. Whilst allowing the student to have some control over what they see e.g. ordering / hiding of tiles / apps, how they consume services e.g. frequency of alerts, — different views / apps to be delivered for prospective students and alumni (although this will not form part of the scope of project delivery). Requirements gathered from students across the University have fed into this tender and we would like to know how technology providers can work with us to deliver against those requirements and realise our vision.
