The Lincolnshire Waste Partnership (LWP) is currently consulting with the public on an updated Joint Municipal Waste Management Strategy (JMWMS) that sets out the objectives for the collection and treatment of waste arising in Lincolnshire. As the Waste Disposal Agency in the LWP, Lincolnshire County Council is keen to explore opportunities to maximise the value of its Mixed Dry Recyclate (MDR), and reducing transportation carbon footprint. Lincolnshire County Council is looking to engage with the market to understand how to best collect and process the MDR while achieving the following objectives of the updated JMWMS: — To improve the quality and increase the commercial value of our recycling stream. — To explore new opportunities for using all waste as a resource, within the waste hierarchy. — To reduce our carbon footprint. — To consider innovative solutions in the delivery of our waste management services.
