Local plan sustainability appraisal

Quotations are invited for undertaking a Sustainability Appraisal (incorporating a Strategic Environmental Assessment as required by the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 and the European Directive 2001/42/EC (the Strategic Environmental Assessment or SEA Directive)) of the North West Leicestershire Local Plan Review . 1.2 The North West Leicestershire Local Plan was adopted on 17 November 2017 and covers the period to 2031. A copy of the Local Plan can be viewed from here. 1.3 Policy S1 commits the Council to undertaking an early review of the plan. An initial consultation under Regulation 18 of the Local Plan Regulations 2012 was undertaken between 21 February and 4 April 2018. 1.4 The review is a partial review; not all aspects of the plan will be changed. The Council would wish to discuss the implications of this for the Sustainability Appraisal with the appointed consultants. The review will cover the period to 2036.
