Tender description
The NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership, hosted by Velindre NHS Trust are acting on behalf of Cardiff and Vale University Local Health Board who are seeking to establish a contract for the supply of EQA Material. This Lot is for EQA Material for POCT Hb. The EQA Material must: — be compatible with all current POCT tHb monitoring devices, — be stable at room temperature for at least 1 month and at least 1 year at 4º C for unopened vials. For opened vials, the material needs to be stable at room temperature for at least 28 days, — cover pathological range for Total Haemoglobin of 40 — 200 g/l. This Lot is for EQA Material for Hb Variants. The EQA Material must be: — suitable for use with all current HbA1c analysers, — stable at room temperature for at least 2 days at 4º C, — cover pathological or physiological range for HbA1c and include a Hb variant. Such as Hb AS (Hb A =60, Hb S = 40%) or Hb AC, — provided in plastic or glass containers. This Lot is for EQA Material for Co-oximetry. The EQA Material must: — suitable for use with all current Co-oximetry analysers. Lyophilised whole blood material will be considered, — stable at room temperature for at least 15 minutes for reconstituted material, — provided in sealed vials. This Lot is for EQA Material for assessing accuracy of pO2. The EQA Material must; — cover pathological range for pO2 (range 2 to 8 kPa), — be provided in sealed vials, — be stable at room temperature, — be tonometered blood with identical saturation kinetics to whole blood for pO2. This Lot is for EQA Material for Blood Gas with Haematocrit. The EQA Material must be: — stable at room temperature for at least 30 seconds for open vials and be stable at room temperature for at least 2 weeks and at least 1 year at 4º C for unopened vials, — suitable for use on iSTAT Blood Gas analysers, — provided in sealed vials. This Lot is for EQA Material for Blood Gas. The EQA Material must; — cover pathological range for Total Haemoglobin of 40 — 200 g/l, — be suitable for use with all current Blood gas analysers, — contain protein, — be provided in sealed vials.
