Tender description

Preventing Maternal Deaths — The programme will work to reduce women’s recourse to unsafe abortion and keep increasing the uptake of Family Planning (FP), focusing specifically on marginalised and young women. The extension will build on the previous programme to prevent unintended pregnancies through provision of integrated and effective Sexual and Reproductive Health services and family planning with a focus on reaching youth and harder to reach populations. This extension is critical to avoid a break in availability of quality services for women and adolescents until the new successor Women’s Integrated Sexual Health (WISH) programmes up and running. This three-month extension will sustain the delivery of a proportion of vital FP services currently provided through the PMD programme in Bangladesh, DRC, Ethiopia, Pakistan, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Zambia,Zimbabwe, Uganda, Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger and Senegal. Only those countries and channels in WISH are included as part of this extension.
