Tender description

The Foundation is looking for a delivery partner for the management and delivery of ‘The Further forces programme – Northern Hub’ a key element of a MoD service leaver resettlement to education and training careers programme. The programme is aimed at military service leavers undergoing the resettlement process and who are potentially high calibre teachers of Science, engineering and technology (ScET) in the FE and education sector. The Foundation is looking for a delivery partner for the management and delivery of ‘The Further forces programme – Northern Hub’ a key element of a MoD service leaver resettlement to education and training careers programme. The programme is aimed at military service leavers undergoing the resettlement process and who are potentially high calibre teachers of Science, engineering and technology (ScET) in the FE and education sector. The programme is a ScET-focused programme that includes Level 5 ITE, Technical knowledge and skills enhancement, STEM Insight into industry and Subject specialist mentoring. Maths and English form a key part of teacher development and training for all teachers in the FE sector, however, in this instance, they must be included very much as a supportive element of the programme not its ‘key’ purpose (which is technical excellence in ScET).
