The Department of Justice and Equality intends to enter into a 3 year contract with Life technologies, on the expiration of the current contract, for the provision of PCR chemistry enabling amplification of short tandem repeat (STR) loci from Reference samples and Crime Stains to Forensic Science Ireland, Dublin. The estimated value of the Contract will be 570 350 EUR in year 1, 627 385 EUR in year 2 and 690 123 EUR in year 3, totalling 1 887 858 EUR over the full term of the contract.
