Summary of the work There is a requirement to provide direct support to the Defence as a Platform (Daap) (Base) Joint Planning Office Project Controls Team in the scheduling, risk management and reporting of activities in the NSoIT, Integrated User services and Global Connectivity Programmes. Specialist role Delivery manager Expected Contract Length 11 months. With a further option to extend by 11 months pending financial approval. Latest start date Tuesday 27 March 2018 Maximum Day Rate Budget per day including agency fees is £450 ex VAT. £0 ex VAT limit of Liability for T&S. Who Speclialist Work With Civilian and Military staff, Contractors within the Joint Project Office (JPO), New Style of IT (NSoIT) Base, Integrated User Service (IUS) and Global Connectivity teams. What Specialists Work On Creation of the Defence as a Platform (Base) common schedule. Maintain & update the joint programme schedule. Monitor & track progress against the baselined schedule on a weekly basis, updating schedule activity progression as appropriate & completion of milestones. Establish common approach to identification & management of risks, to cover both risks to individual and joint programmes. Supporting and facilitating risk identification, aggregation and analysis workshops. Development of risk response plans. Monitoring performance of risk management. Informing decisions of qualitative and quantitative analysis of cost and schedule risks when required. Providing input to Risk Governance Reviews. Skills & Experience • Expert level user of Microsoft Enterprise Project Management solution with particular emphasis on management of cross-project dependencies,schedule baselining & tracking. (25%) • Management of Risk (M_o_R) practitioner (or equivalent); ability to identify, analyse, evaluate & manage cross-cutting programme risks. (15%) • Workshopping; ability to lead small to medium-sized groups of stakeholders to extract relevant schedule and risk information to feed into joint schedules and risk registers. (10%) • Reporting; ability to effectively extract relevant project and risk information to provide senior management reporting (15%) Nice to Haves • Ability to understand programme objectives and proactively link these to scheduling and risk management functions (5%) • IT literate, with experience of using Microsoft office 365 (including Sharepoint) and MOSS (5%) Work Location ISS Building 405 Spur E2 Westwells Road MOD Corsham Wiltshire SN13 9NR Working Arrangments All tasking will take place from MoD Corsham and you are required there 5 days a week, the working day is 8 hours to include 30 minutes for lunch. this individual will report to Rebecca Dixon. IR35: Applies Security Clearance SC must be in place prior to the contract starting due to the projects the individual is required to work with.
