Basingstoke Active Befriending Service

Tender description

The service will provide weekly social visits for older people living in Basingstoke, who are identified by Hampshire County Council (HCC) as being at risk of social isolation and loneliness. The visits will be carried out by volunteers who travel to the individuals using physical activity (such as walking, running or cycling). The service will be funded for two years from 2nd July 2018, but will be expected to run for a further 3 years on a self financing basis.
