Tender description

The Authority conducted an open procedure pursuant to Regulation 27 of the Regulations and has appointed a contractor to deliver a BVD project. The project aims to improve farm productivity in England, organising coordinated delivery of advice to enable farmers to achieve a reduction in the level of BVD in cattle. This Animal Health and Welfare Integrated Project seeks to improve farm productivity in England to achieve a reduction in the level of Bovine Viral Diarrhoea (BVD) in breeding cattle only, over a 3 year period. The overarching objective is to provide situationally specific advice to livestock keepers of at least 50% of the breeding cattle in England via participation in the project to enable them to eliminate BVD from their herds or to keep BVD out of herds which are presently free of the disease. This is an EU Funded project and has a specific requirement for the supplier to provide a robust audit trail to ensure that the EU funding is payable.
