Tender description

Support to the RECCE and VSW UUVs for a period of 2 years (plus 1 option year) including provision of spare parts, repair services, technical support, maintenance services and associated support activities. The Secretary of State for Defence (the Authority), through the Underwater Electronic Warfare (UEW) Project Team within Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S) intends to negotiate a 2 year (plus 1 Option year) support contract with Hydroid Inc for the continued support of REMUS 600 (RECCE) and Remus 100 (VSW) UUV’s. REMUS 600 (RECCE) and REMUS 100 (VSW) UUV’s are military use versions of commercially available UUV’s operated in the Mine Counter Measure (MCM) role. They are remotely operated shallow water hydrographical seabed mapping systems, both of which were developed and manufactured by Hydroid Inc.
