Tender description

Lot 1: The BBC requires a full booking service provision for rail travel, to be used by the BBC and commercial subsidiaries. This is to include an online booking system for the use of BBC staff, freelancers and guests, and provision of a call centre to take offline bookings and handle queries. The successful provider will also be required to provide ticket printing facilities in key BBC sites. Lot 2: The BBC requires a provider to manage the Season Ticket issuing process on its behalf. This will include providing an online portal for ordering season tickets, fulfilment and distribution of Season Tickets once approved by BBC HR, and a robust end to end support process for staff who have been provided with a Season Ticket. As the issuing of a season ticket includes an associated loan facility from the BBC, the integration with BBC financial processes is a key element of the service provision. The estimated value below includes both lots. Further details are given for each lot. The value of this contract is estimated at 60 000 000 GBP-74 000 000 GBP over the full 7-year duration, including extension options. This is based on historical spend under the BBC's rail booking contract, and includes the price of tickets as well as any management or transaction fees. The final evaluation will be conducted on a price per quality point basis. Details of quality sub-criteria will be provided at the Invitation to Tender stage.
