Tender description

Provision of activities for young people aged 13 — 18 years and up to 25 years for young people with learning difficulties and disabilities. Provision of positive activities for young people in the core age range of 13 — 18 years and for up to 25 years for some young people with LDD (Learning Difficulties and Disabilities) split into 3 geographical areas (West / East / South) and 1 area wide contract in South Gloucestershire. The Council wants to maximise the chances for young people to engage in positive, stimulating and enjoyable activities that provide opportunities for young people to develop healthy relationships with trusted adults and their peers and signposting to additional support if needed. Services will engage young people in high quality activities that young people will value and enjoy; led by suitably trained staff who are able to ensure those young people with the greatest needs are able to participate and benefit from the provision. The Council considers that TUPE may apply in respect of employees currently engaged by the existing Suppliers in the provision of the Services prior to commencement of the Contracts to be entered into with the Council. The majority of these employees are currently employed by South Gloucestershire Council.
