Coventry University is establishing a new Waste Disposal Services contract for the buildings on the main University campus and The Coventry University Technology Park. The contract is scheduled to run for a period of 3 years with the option of 2 further 1 year extensions. The average cost per annum as a guide is 112 103,52 GBP for Coventry Campus and 17 500,56 GBP for Coventry University Enterprises. Coventry University Group aims for excellence in sustainability across all its activities. The waste contract is a key contributor to this and the University already recycles over 80 % of its waste. We will expect waste suppliers to maintain this recycling rate whilst also supporting the University to reduce waste output by 20 % through reuse and other opportunities. This could include measures that add societal value through the management of waste, adopting a circular economy approach and working with partners including social enterprise and charities.
