Pay-on-Foot Parking Management System with ANPR facilities & Associated Services

Tender description

This is for the provision of a new Pay-on-Foot Car Park Management System (CPMS). The new CPMS will also include Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) facilities. The proposed CPMS must be fit for purpose. IMPORTANT NOTE Site visits are available to Newarke Street Car Park on request during the week 29th May to the 1st June 2018 inclusive, by sending a message using the EastMidsTenders portal by no later than 1200hrs on the 25th May 2018. The Council wishes to appoint a single provider to enter into a contract to install and maintain the system for an initial term of five (5) years, with the option to extend the maintenance contract for a further three (3) plus one (1), plus one (1) years under the same terms and conditions. Extensions will be subject to satisfactory performance by the successful provider. The first project will be for Newarke Street Car Park. For the successful provider, there will be a requirement subsequent to the Newarke Street project to provide a feasibility study on the Haymarket Centre Car Park and provide workable options for converting this to a Pay-on-Foot CPMS including ANPR systems for consideration. There may be a requirement to undertake additional installations of CPMS and/or ANPR systems at additional car parks, within Leicester City, as well as provide maintenance service(s) for the same. The Council may be requiring additional installations and/or maintenance however this is neither guaranteed nor exclusive to the successful supplier Additional car parks may include but is not limited to: Haymarket Centre Car Park, and possibly Victoria Park Car Park and Dover Street Car Park (both surface level car parks) and any other car park(s) for which the Authority has control and/or responsibility over and are within Leicester City Centre.
