Tender description
LCC are seeking to engage a company to provide Lighting for the Major events in summer 2018. Following on from the success of European Capital of Culture in 2008, Liverpool has secured itself as one of the leading major outdoor event and cultural destinations within the UK. Over the past few years, Culture Liverpool delivered a vast array of events, generating millions of pounds for the local economy. Culture Liverpool has delivered iconic events such as The Giants, Three Queens, The Mersey River Festival, Liverpool International Music Festival, Sgt Pepper series, Chinese New Year and many more. The overall events programme has attracted 1.5 million visitors to the City during the last 12 months. The programme for 2018 is as unique as this City. 2018 will be a not to be missed journey celebrating the City’s position at the epicentre of UK art, culture, fashion, business and sport attracting extensive worldwide global media exposure. Liverpool International Music Festival LIMF will return for the sixth time following five hugely successful years. LIMF brings together global acts, up-and-coming stars, radio favourites and also a platform for local artists to hone their skills, and for many, perform live in front of an audience for the first time. In total, over 200 performances took place as part of LIMF 2017. In 2017, LIMF attracted over 120,000 music lovers, cementing Liverpool’s reputation as a must-visit destination and establishing LIMF as the current voice of this global music city with an experimental but accessible programme for all. LIMF Summer Jam presented performances by the likes of Gorgon City, Corinne Bailey Rae, Naughty Boy, Cast, Jax Jones, JP Cooper, Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, The Farm, Kate Nash and many more. As well as the world premiere of Garage Classical, which saw UK Garage hits performed by a 45 piece orchestra featuring original vocalists and curated by award winning broadcaster, DJ Spoony. Garage Classical was broadcast on national BBC Radio. The whole event was free. Dates for the festival are 21 - 22 July 2018, the official website is limfestival.com and there are social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. As in previous years the Festival will be predominately located in and around the Review Field within Sefton Park Keywords: Festivals, Lighting , Stage , Stage Lighting
